Photo Booth Fun

This was our first photo booth experience.  I know they are kind of common place in the States but they are just becoming a 'thing' in Australia.  My dear friend Kate hired one for her 30th Birthday.  Oh my gosh it was SO much fun!!  I have known the people in these photos since we were 18 and that's exactly what we were acting like. Ha!
We kept jumping in the line and thinking what idea we could come up with, or what prop we could use.  It was kind of the best!

We each got to keep a copy of the photos we took.  The've been sitting on our fridge for the last 2 weeks and although they have been making me smile every time that I sneak a piece of chocolate, I wanted somewhere more permanent for them.
I decided to frame them together instead of individually and I kind of love how they look.

I think they were exactly what was missing from our little side table.
What a lovely reminder of what wonderful, crazy, special friends we have!
We are such dorks!

Life Lately

So if you can't tell from the photo dump above.  July is birthday month in the Culbert household!  Angus turned 3 and husband turned.......as he put it twenty eleven.
We celebrated with balloons, donuts and a little pirate on Gus's day and with family on Ross's. (and a party hat Gruffalo.  a new obbsession in this house)  'terrible teeth in his terrible jaws' ha!

A bit of a look at what I do at my day job. Love me a good day of merchandising!

That's my bestie up there.  Doing what she does best.  Being fabulous!

We celebrated our bestie's housewarming yesterday.  They are officially homeowners!
Woohoo!  So proud of them.  That's the four of us.  In 2008.  Looking all young and stuff.

And, I got to enjoy the rareness which is the bug falling asleep on me.  Love, love love!
Little snores.  (insert heart bursting)

Looking forward to a new week! How about you?

What my iphone saw

Just a few iphone (and instagram) snaps from the last month or so.  My window display and customer wall from work are there, my NEW CAR too.  My gorgeous boys and my family (would you look at my nieces and nephew!)

After scrolling through these pics I know for sure that my Gus is a HAM!  Oh, and my boys look SOOO much like each other!

The Bug turns One

My sweet bubba boy turned one yesterday!  It was a totally normal day for him.  We had breakfast, went for a walk, bought some cupcakes for birthday celebrations, had a nap (him, not me) and played.  It was however, not a normal day for this mama.  I felt somewhat nostalgic all day, a little emotional, and I probably hugged on him too hard.

Last night we had a little dinner with our besties in his honour.  They totally spoilt him!!

He looks like a little gnome :)

He had the best night!  We had the best night!  I love our friends.  Thanks B and Adz for loving our little bug so much, and for spoiling him rotten.  He loves his airport and blocks.     Best God Parents EVER.

Toddlerdom here we come!

Love Lil xx

P.S - Thanks to all of our family and friends for the Bug's birthday wishes.  He really is the most loved little boy around.

Last Saturday.........

You know there are those Saturday's that are just about perfect. A Saturday when our bug lets mama and daddy sleep in.  A lazy coffee in pyjamas and some haphazard, put together, but so yummy breakfast.  Then a phone call from our besties (who we see totally not enough of) with the invitation to come down to Cronulla.  This little family LOVES Cronulla.  If we could afford it we would buy a little house near the beach, and spend way too much money on eating out and getting coffee.

So, it was down to Cronulla.  We met at Grind.  A coffee house that is kinda famous, and has the BEST coffee in the Shire.  Then it was a lazy lunch in the sunshine,  meeting more friends for an afternoon stroll, a play in the playground, and more coffee.
A quick trip to vinnies, which is so tiny, but so full of little treasures.

What an awesome day!  Here are some snapshots.

Oh my goodness, that dress!!  What a beauty!  Imagine the balls that dress went to.......

That evening we went to Ross's cousin Amy's 21st.  Gorgeous decorations, yummy food and ice cream cupcakes!!  Oh and that phone, which we didn't think even existed anymore.  Oh, and a selfie, cause sometimes I'm just that girl :)

What is your favourite way to spend a Saturday?  I'd love to know

Last Weekend.....Part 2

Wasn't Sunday just glorious!!!  And as my love was at work :( I took my new love (also known as Gus) down to Austimer Beach with some of our friends.  We enjoyed salad rolls (how good are they!!) Chicken Chips and Chocolate.  Sometimes simple is best.  Angus met his new favourite playmate, Justice.  The absolutely beautiful daughter of our dear friends BJ and Adrian.  Justice had a lot of fun trying to take Gus's dummy and trying to hold his hand.  They are way too cute together!

Hahahaha! Justice's Bib 'Spit Happens' :)

It was so great to just relax with friends and soak up the shiny spring sunshine.  Must do it again soon.
P.S - My little man is just adorable don't you think.....I certainly do!
